This is the kind of small local business everyone should be supporting. My wife, newborn, and I stopped by for dinner tonight. We were greeted by a polite husband and wife who run the business by themselves. The dining room was very clean. The food was delicious and affordable.

An unprecedented review for me, this is the first time a recommended restaurant is actually as good as they'd said. This quaint establishment gives a mom&pop feel that I always love -- friendly staff, quick service for my experience. Reviews boasting authentic flavors at this restaurant are correct -- crumbled cotija over menu items are new to me, even packed to-go it was aesthetically pleasing (came with plenty of napkins and a set of plastic cutlery), my meal was highly enjoyable, ready in 15 mins! Just a tad small inside with less parking than you may expect, but you could possibly call to ensure your party can be accommodated! I'll certainly be trying their other menu items, I got at first to try the beef empanada, and an al pastor street taco with the richest, most fresh (AMAZING) guacamole, and chips. *only caveat: chips&salsa aren't included, but I didn't really mind since the service was excellent, and the flavor was wonderful!

This is a tiny place with a BIG heart and even better food! This place is truly a treasure, the staff is super friendly, the food is all prepared in house, it's all fresh and homemade. This is the kind of place that truly deserves 5 stars ! I could name a handful of Michelin restaurants that could learn a thing or two from a restaurant like El Tesoro. Normally I post pictures with my reviews but we were too hungry! Definitely try the burrito pastor and their fresh guacamole. Thank you for your great service, can't wait to come here again!

A great spot to get tacos and a variety of authentic Mexican food. It is small but well maintained. The food is cheap but delicious. It has so much more variety than the regular Mexican fare of the standard Americanized Mexican restaurants. It looks like a house from the outside and has a homely and welcoming feel. The staff are welcoming and hospitable as well.

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town. It is authentic and the couple are so kind. The food is good every single time, and the chips are homemade. You absolutely HAVE to get a bottled coke with your meal. Totally a must try in Somerset.

inside the inconspicuous building the size of a house lies a kitchen full of talented cooks and the most amazing Mexican food i have ever eaten. Delicious, hearty, authentic food for amazing prices. The horchata is also really good!!! Loved this place totally worth it.

First time eating here. I got a "to go" order as follows: 1x Beans and Rice, 2 Ground Beef Empanadas, 2 Ground Beef Soft Tacos, and 1 Burrito XL Al Pastor. Believe me when I say everything was amazing. Unlike every other "Authentic Mexican Cuisine" restaurant in Somerset and about everywhere else I have eaten, El Tesoro doesn't smother their Ground Beef in generic taco seasoning and they also don't leave it greasy. The same for the Al Pastor ( Seasoned Pork ) it had a freshly almost smoked flavor with a touch of seasoned flat top grill flavor as well which culminated with the fresh hand-made tortilla and freshly chopped veggies into what I would call the perfect and for me the best Ground beef tacos and seasoned pork Burrito I have ever had. I would give this place 6 stars if possible and the only reason the atmosphere only got 4 stars is because it's a quaint little dining area and there just isn't a lot of space to decorate and entertain the customers that choose to "dine in". Instead, the owners have used the time and money they might have used to step up the atmosphere and focused it where it matters most in their food and the quaint of everything they offer. You can tell that the people who own and work at El Tesoro truly love what they do and take pride in it. So hats off to them you're doing an amazing job and I wish every restaurant would follow your lead.
